Here are a couple more new images from Iron Man courtesy of Marvel.com. Above is Robert Downey Jr. testing a gauntlet from the armor… again. They seem to have used this particular scene in the movie for quite a few photo ops.

With less than four months to go until the movie opens we’re going to start seeing more and more images and other promotional material on this. On the one hand that’s great, but on the other I never like to see too much about a movie before it opens.

I don’t know about you but I’m really digging the attention to detail in the armor components. Very cool and it makes it seem that Favreau wants to ground the movie in as much reality as is possible for this sort of film.
Iron Man opens on May 2nd, 2008.

Were probably not going to see the really awesome stuff until closer to movie time. I need a pic of RDJ in the full Armor, that is what I’m waiting for.
Love the second picture, the detail on the boots. I wonder how much a pair of kicks like those would run me, $100,000,000, or so I’d imagine. I’ll probably just stick with my Chucks. Their pink with little black skull pins on them, I don’t think Tony would appreciate me adding my own details to perfection

Why are the wires connected from the glove to his mechenichal heart generator. Or wheatever that thing is. Other then that coll picturs man I like them, keep up the good work.
Thats the armors power source and keeps him alive.

I am absolutely bewildered as to why i seem to be one of only a few people who think that the new Iron Man is portrayed as a complete arsehole. I am bitterly disspaointed after seeing the full length trailer for the first time and watching an Iron Man who is unlike the character in he best of the Marvel comics. I think that the film’s portrayel of him as an arrogant moron is dissapointing and highly irritating.

You have to remember this is an ORIGIN film. Before Tony Stark became Iron Man, he WAS the character they show in screen: Arrogant, spoiled party animal. Basically imagine a tech genius version of Hugh Hefner.
It was AFTER being hit with shrapnel and building the suit that he matured as a character.
