  1. Hollywood has missed the boat.

Duke Nukem and Gordon Freeman would have been the salvation. However for some reason or another neither one of them have made it to the silver screen and alas I believe it may be to late.

  2. Okay I actually enjoyed the Resident Evil series, the original Mortal Kombat (Annihaltion does suck!) and Silent Hill!

  3. Contra would make a ballin movie. Dolph Lundgren and Brad Pitt. And obviously you need to make a Duke Nukem with Jake Busey.

    • The very end of the movie when they are about to die by a legion of aliens, you just hear brad pit say “Up, up, down, down, left, right, left right, B, A,….START!”

  4. Seriously some of those on the list sound stupid like asteroids world of warcraft and you forgot to mention battleship. But for the others like Mass Effect bioshock and Gears Of War you have to look at the plot line and the story all 3 of those have a story so good the movie can make itself. These games have amazing storylines and last time i looked a good story line is a major component of a movie. And how dare you talk bad about House Of The Dead that movies so awful its good lol.

  5. You forgot these video games:
Donkey Kong (Dir. Tim Burton, Mario: Johnny Depp, DK: The Rock)
The Legend of Zelda (Link: Freddie Highmore, Ganon: Christopher Lee)
Earthbound (Runaway Five Member: Justin Timberlake)

But seriously, we need Link as a movie hero.

  6. For Earthbound, wouldn’t it be funny with an 11-year-old beating up a hippie with a baseball bat?

Might I add Grand Theft Auto with director Gore Verbinski and Christian Bale?

  7. The first Mortal Kombat, and Hitman were far from trash. You just named off every video game movie. That’s the stereo type they get, and that is what’s trash. People call every single video game movie trash whether its good or not just because they set their standards way to high. The first Mortal Kombat was excellent and Hitman was awesome.

  8. Let’s see a Death Worm movie people!!!

  9. A really good movie would be based on the Unreal Tournament 1999 mod called bunnytrack. It would be set in a time in which competition for the fastest time on some of the most insanely difficult obsticals in maps like EasyBunny LethalSun Uncommon Mausoleum Adventures_fix and hundreds of other settings.

Story could be this…. a team (clan) gets a challenge from another clan to a battle royal type thing with the whole world watching. The teams would have to physically take part in the games and would be judged by impartial judges like in the Blakes7 episode “Death-Watch” or in other words like NINJAWARRIOR set on different planets with different sets of environmental and physical challenges to see which team scores the lowest average time (5 teammates = add all times together divide by 5).

Or of course the obvious box office hit would be the original metroid with all the alien fiends and puzzle solving or zelda (with some cube type rooms of course).
